Milne Family - William and Isobella Milne (Second generation)

William Dawson Milne, was born in Clatt, Aberdeenshire, and was 15 years old when he arrived in New Zealand. In 1881, William aged 30 married Iso(a)bella McCulloch/Deans (1860–1949). Isabella's mother, Williamena 'Minnie' Dean, was hung in 1895 at the Invercargill goal for the murder of an infant in her care. Minnie Dean was the first and only woman to be hung in New Zealand. This story I will visit at a later date. No record however of Isabella birth has ever been found and she may have been adopted along with her sister Ellen Ann.
