James and Agnes daughter Janet was born in 1872. Janet did not marry. A residence at Port Molyneux when she died at the young age of 56 years on the 4 November 1928. Only 6 months after her mother

Janet wrote her will on the 1 Nov 1928, three days before her death. She left her half of the 31 acres of land at Port Molyneux to her nephew James Murray, Hairdresser of Balclutha, son of Jack (John) Murray. If James should sell the property he was to give 10 pounds from the sale to his brother Lockie Murray.

Janet is buried at the Andersons Bay cemetery in Dunedin.
